KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 (Bernama) — The World Smart City Expo 2022 (WSCE 2022) is set to take place from Aug 31 to Sept 2, 2022, in South Korea, with the participation of 300 cities and businesses from 20 countries.
Under the slogan “Digital Earth, Connecting Together”, WSCE 2022 explores the main themes of carbon neutrality, sustainable mobility, and urban resilience.
According to a statement, six thematic exhibition zones will be featured including Future City Zone, Urban Resilience Zone, Carbon Neutrality Zone, and Smart Mobility Zone.
At the National Pilot Smart City Pavilion, visitors can preview innovative technologies that will unfold in everyday life, while also experiencing smart services and products from many global cities.
In addition, 18 conferences covering the latest topics in the urban field, such as digital transformation, metaverse, environmental, social and governance (ESG) management, green energy, and living labs, will be held with the participation of leading global industry, academia, and research experts.
What3Words founder Chris Sheldrick, who created a three-word address system, and London Business School Professor Alex Edmans, who emphasised corporate social contribution at the Davos Economic Forum, will share their profound insights into urban problems and the future direction of smart cities.
Meanwhile, the WSCE Awards have selected innovative companies and cities that have contributed to the advancement of smart cities.
Winners were given benefits that included the exhibition of their works, an interview on WSCE ON-AIR, and an invitation to the WSCE Networking Night.
