As the realization of Smart Melaka Blueprint 2035 (SMB2035), MSCA together with the organizers; Hatten Group and Melaka ICT Holdings, and other strategic partners are collaborated to bring together subject matter experts and industry players from this region to share their experiences and expertise into realizing the potential of Melaka towards a digital society. The first international conference was held from 6-7 December 2022 and this inaugural event covered on Smart City, 5G Connectivity, Emerging Technologies, Economy, Energy & Environment, Mobility, and Smart Applications. Besides, MIGHT also be involved in several panel sessions mainly on the topic Smart City Towards Liveable, Realising Smart Melaka Blueprint 2035, and Game Changer in Smart Mobility Revolution. The conference and exhibition was officiated by Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, EXCO of Melaka (Industrial, Investment and Entrepreneur Development) and the 2 days conference was attended by more than 300 participants from local and international.

MIGHT organised SMIC2022 Session 1: Smart City – Smart City Towards Liveable, moderated by Ts.Zulkifflee Mohamad, Senior Principal Analyst 1. This session highlighted 3 rounds of insight from all speakers on:- Issues & Challenges towards liveable nation, Solutions & best practices of global & local smart cities and Future insight for Smart Melaka 2035. MIGHT gathered distinguish speakers from various backgrounds of expertise; TPr. Abdulhan Abd Lamit, Director Southern Zone Project Office, PLANMalaysia; Dr. Mohammad Fahmi Ngah, Director of Selangor Research Institute, MBI Selangor; Mr. Jason Ho, Managing Director, JWP Design (A Member of Singapore Institute of Planners); and Ms. Preetha Nadarajah, Chief Technology Officer, Nokia Malaysia to share their smart city experiences and key recommendations from different perspectives that suite for Melaka Smart Cities towards liveable nation.

MIGHT Vice President, Mr. Mahalil Amin Abdul Malek moderated Session 2 to deliberate upon smart mobility’s impact toward Smart Melaka 2035. Smart Mobility defines as energy efficiency, carpool, time management, and reduce emissions. The issues & challenges towards implementing smart mobility are regulatory enforcement, infrastructures readiness & user behavior. The session concluded that Smart mobility needs to lead toward net zero energy, increase public transport usage & generated city income. Among the speakers invited for this session; Ts.
