A two-day training on Solar Photovoltaic Training has been successfully held on 11 -12 August 2020. The training was conducted by Prof. Dr Nowshad Amin and Prof. Ir. Dr Vigna Kumaran Ramachandaramurthy and topics covered including Solar Energy and Solar Photovoltaic Cells: Fundamentals, Generations and Classification of Solar Photovoltaic Technology, Standalone Solar PV System Design, Efficiency Limits, Losses of Solar Photovoltaic Cells, Power System Studies and Requirements for Solar PV Interconnection, Technical Impact of Solar PV Connection and Mitigation, Net Energy Metering and Self Consumption of Solar PV, Inverter and Power Quality Testing for Solar PV Farms and Smart Inverter Features, Role of Energy Storage.
