4th International Conference on Smart Data and Smart Cities
October 1, 2019 @ 9:00 am - October 3, 2019 @ 5:20 pm SMT
A Smart City is defined as a set of instruments across many scales that are connected through multiple networks and provide continuous data regarding people and environment in support of decisions about the physical and social form of the city. This process cannot be completed without technology advancements. Moreover a Smart City cannot be established without a involving citizens (smart people).
The Smart Data Smart Cities conference will present novel research concerning the use of information and communication technologies in Smart Cities. Now in its fourth year, this conference fills the gap between Smart Cities, Smart Data and geospatial technology (often overlooked in the Smart Cities context). With each conference, we strengthen the communication between senior researchers, students, developers, practitioners and citizens and establish collaborations on new research topics.
This conference will be jointly organized by the Urban Data Management Society, ISPRS IV/10 and the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and will be held in parallel with the Geomatics and Geospatial Technology and the 8th FIG Workshop on the Land Administration Domain Model. UDMS is a pioneer in promoting information technologies in European cities from early 70ies. ISPRS is one of the largest international organizations for geospatial technologies. UTM and Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) are the main organizers for the Geospatial Kuala Lumpur 2019 where GGT 2019 is part of the events.
